I have wanted to create a real photo book for our family for ages. With all of our photos being digital I felt we needed to move our memories off of computer and into our life. What I wanted for us and our kids is to sit down with the book in their laps and re-live the moments of our life. Few weeks ago, right before the holidays, I finally placed an order for a hard cover book from Artifact Uprising. I’ve been a fan of Artifact Uprising for a few years and have been admiring their breathtakingly beautiful books and most importantly design philosophy and environmental policy. And, I love their tag line: Inspired by the disappearing beauty of the tangible.
The book arrived yesterday and wow! what a beautiful book! I am in love this book! It is perfect! I couldn’t be more thrilled with the final product – the paper is soft and quality amazing. For this book, I picked the most memorable photos from the past year and showed them in chronological order. I hope to continue to do this each year! I plan to make at least one book at the end of every year, so that we can have a library of our lives through pictures. It is such a great way to preserve memories!
Happy 2014, everyone! What has happened to 2013? How did it go by so quickly? It was a total blur, yet it was a great year. For me, it was the year of change. I’ve quit my job and enjoyed spending more time with my precious little family. I am still working out my resolutions for this year but I know for sure the top priority is to focus on my family. I also want to get my life organized, get rid of clutter, exercise and eat better, spend less time in front of computer, and just start fresh. I am ready to take on the new year. And this year I will follow my dreams.
Cheers to 2014!

Over the past few months (ok, a year!) I’ve been working on a rebranding project for one of my favorite people – the uber talented Rachel Bowes of Finch & Thistle Event Design. Finch & Thistle Event Design provides event design, floral and event planning services for weddings and events throughout Washington State and across the country. With a strong portfolio of exquisitely designed and impeccably executed events, Rachel was seeking a brand re-haul and wanted a sophisticated, charming new identity that would grab the attention of brides-to-be and help her stand out in the crowd of wedding planners in the city. I had a wonderful time working with Rachel as we went in several different directions trying to create a brand that would represent her best. I’m very happy how it ended up. I took her already established logo (that I designed few years back), modified it a notch and then added new design details, both vintage and modern. The result is new identity and branding that is just as unique as she is – sophisticated and refined and true to Rachel’s own aesthetic.
Working with Rachel is a blast! Cheers to her new look!! Please come back to see her new business cards. I’ll be posting pictures as soon as we get them back from the print shop. Think letterpress, foil, luxurious paper stock… In the meantime, take some time exploring her site and blog, there is so much beauty to see…
Our holiday cards arrived this week, and I couldn’t be more excited! Each year I design our cards and this year was no exception. I originally wanted a simple one-photo holiday card as I feel that reflects the personality and lifestyle of a family but I couldn’t decide which image is best. I guess we had way too much fun last year! Multi picture layout was the necessary solution.
I designed a clean front with holiday message typed in a calligraphy font and added multiple photos on the back of the card. I like that I was able to choose a few favorite photos… Last year, our extended family and friends were excited to see what we have been up to over the previous year and we wanted to tell a lot of stories with our card this year too. Our cards were printed on a heavy white cotton stock and matched with a red envelopes lined with a stripey liner. Happy Holidays!
I thought I’d pop in and share with you a sneak of this brochure! Just got it back from the printer and I’m thrilled to finally have it in my hands. It’s so bright and colorful and sooo different than anything I have done in the past. It’s been my life for the last few months – in the making since September! I promise to take more photos and published them here soon. See ya!
Take a look at a new project I just wrapped up! This custom website was designed for clients that wanted to showcase their beautiful home located in Tacoma, Washington. This custom built in 2009 home is an entirely green, fully self-sustaining habitat and is currently for sale. Check it out!
The website reflects the aesthetics of their home, it is clean, simple and easy to navigate. The contact form makes it easy for visitors to get in touch and there is plenty of beautiful images in the gallery.

Few months ago, I completed this fun save the date and invitation for West Coast Paper Company. I kept the save the date fun, bright and full of color. I am the most excited about the gold foil on red paper, which was also embossed. I had fun blingin this one out a bit – foil is my latest obsession and I’ll be sure to print foil again.
